Pros

Possibility to work fully remote. End-of-year holiday week.

Cons

Consulting/Implementation at Avature lacks any work-life balance—long hours are the norm, and there’s no compensation or recognition for going the extra mile. Leadership appears indifferent, which contributes to weak project execution and ultimately poor outcomes for clients, despite the high cost of services. The product itself feels outdated. It’s built on obsolete technologies, and releases often introduce more issues than they solve. Many bugs are left unaddressed, and the platform feels like a collection of short-term patches rather than a stable system. There’s a noticeable lack of experienced developers, likely due to uncompetitive salaries, which affects overall product quality. Leadership and internal mobility are Avature’s weakest points. Promotions are largely based on internal relationships or tenure, not performance. This has led to a lack of trust in management and virtually no perceived growth opportunities. Employee input is rarely valued, and transparency is minimal—especially during recent rounds of silent layoffs and budget cuts. Avature was once a company with a decent culture, even if salaries were never competitive. Unfortunately, in the last year, it’s become a place marked by uncertainty, poor communication, and declining morale. Leadership seems disconnected from employees and unwilling to adapt or listen.
