Pros

Autodesk has taken a sharp turn for the worse. The recent decision to lay off 9% of the workforce while keeping only low-paid "executors" shows a clear prioritization of short-term cost-cutting over long-term innovation and talent retention. Instead of investing in skilled professionals and a sustainable future, leadership seems more interested in appeasing active investors through superficial savings. Morale is at an all-time low, institutional knowledge is walking out the door, and there's no clear strategic vision beyond trimming expenses. Unless there's a major course correction, it's hard to see a positive path forward.

Cons

Flexible hours, $1K wellness reimbursement

Pros

Work-life balance is generally manageable—until management priorities change. When deadlines or initiatives ramp up, personal boundaries may no longer be respected, and extra hours quickly become expected. This inconsistency can make it hard to plan or maintain a healthy work-life balance in the long term

Cons

The company culture and management style can be challenging, especially within the PSET division. Leadership tends to be highly autocratic, with limited room for open communication or constructive feedback. Speaking up about concerns is often discouraged, and HR appears to heavily align with management, offering minimal support to employees seeking fair resolutions. Micromanagement is prevalent, which can make it difficult for individuals to feel trusted or empowered in their roles. Overall, these dynamics can take a toll on mental health, so it may be beneficial to approach with caution if considering a position here

Pros

decent pay, good charter, decent health benefits

Cons

aloof upper leadership, unclear goals top down, toxic lying from senior leaders who haven't got a clue what day to day work gets done on their team or partner teams. no real direction or measurable goals, just a cool idea of where they want to take the market.
