Pros

Great benefits, wonderful offices in SF, and lots of smart people working on interesting projects. It's also software that powers lots of wonderfully creative work so you feel like you're making the world a little more creative.

Cons

Plenty of politics and territorial disputes. I created and helped develop an area that generated millions in revenue for the company. Sounds like a lot, but for a company the size of Autodesk this wasn't that big of a deal. Still, it was enough for a coworker to get me fired so that he could help a friend take it over. Boss went along with it and told the state of California that I quit. HR didn't respond to any questions and I eventually had to print out emails to prove my case to the state to qualify for unemployment.

Pros

Fully remote work. I have a good manager and team. Adequate pay and benefits, prior to current inflation levels. Plenty of time off. Easy to do the bare minimum with no consequences - so easy that everyone is doing it. This is also a con, because it will be unrewarding and frustrating if you have any aspirations or work ethic.

Cons

Decision-making isn't transparent and the company is constantly being reorganized. Poor communication between departments. New software and services are introduced for internal use without considering whether they are actually improvements on the software and services they replace: usually they are not. Outdated systems are left in place. The company is constantly acquiring other companies and adding their software to its offerings, but doesn't provide customer-facing teams with adequate information to support or advise customers. Some internal teams seem to have limited or perhaps no oversight, and take obscene amounts of time to complete simple tasks in systems which only they have access to: customers have been lost to this incompetence. The company has little interest in retaining or cultivating talent: don't expect a promotion. Raises are laughable. Employee feedback on the direction of the company is regularly requested, only to be ignored. 1st and 2nd tier manager feedback regarding C-suite decisions is similarly ignored. Layoffs occur with no warning and time with the company isn't rewarded. Outsourced teams have insufficient training to replace teams being laid off. Stock is tanking. Customers do not feel valued or respected, most are only purchasing from the company because they feel it has cornered the market. Interactions with customers are frequently negative as a result. Hysterically political.

Pros

Not much work assigned as people are too old in the organization to work. Work Life balance is top class. Disability leave pays 67% of base salary , so most people taking that for a year. Awesome idea to survive layoff and to look for a new job.

Cons

No salary hikes, work is crap, very less annual bonus, useless junk managers always sucking up to their managers. The company currently has more managers and QA than developers. In fact most dev managers in US have one or two managers in Asia reporting to them. The company is offshoring all the work to Shanghai and Singapore at a very fast rate as their cloud products have failed miserably. Few wrong people have taken over the board and killing the tech culture at Autodesk. The CEO Carl Bass was all set to be sacked but then he resigned from CEO position last month and there are no CEO for the company for the time being, as the two interim CEO who are SVPs are fighting it out.
