1. The political environment has deteriorated significantly in the last two years. There used to be an earnest, collaborative environment with a real desire to do the right thing for customers. Now, many leaders are applying their efforts to jockeying for position or resources rather than leading or managing. Productivity has ground to a halt, resources are demoralized and actively looking for the exit.
2. Promotions decisions are not transparent. While officially, it is all about "What" and "How", the real variable is "Who" you know and "Where" you are located. It is impossible to advance outside San Francisco due to a belief that only resources in SF can be leaders. It is hard to connect this to the visible commitment to diversity.
3. The leadership claims that we want to be a "customer" company. However, actions show the real objectives - satisfying Wall Street.
4. With the new CEO came new organization with mandates of bringing Autodesk to the future. However, the leaders for these organizations have all been around for over 10 years and have no experience in the identified objectives.
