Pros

Big Global Company with Swedish background. Fun people to work with and some global vision with it's products. Some global travel.

Cons

The problems are big there. Atlas Copco like many companies seems to like to promote the loudest jerks in the room. They seem to look around the company and find the person who has upset everyone and give them a higher position. The Rock Hill office was filled with these types of loud obnoxious managers who would do anything to see you fail, all while demanding you never make a mistake. You are also expected to be on call 24X7 with no compensation for being called at 2 AM or having to be in a meeting at 3 AM with Sweden. You are still expected to show and and work. The open cube layout of the office is horrible and does more to stop work. So much noise and distractions going on you can't get your work done. The same loud obnoxious managers had these stupid cubes put in all while they get offices and quiet to work. The annual raises were a joke. If you did get one it was less that 1%. But while we were "losing" money all of the management staff got a nice raise and a bonus while the people on the floor got a pay cut.

Pros

Good Pay Good Benefits Big parking Lot Good Location

Cons

While you may make good money, you are nothing more than a slave/walking dollar sign to this company. They do not care about your well being, only about the companies profits. You work anywhere between 60 and 72 hours a week; no less, and heaven forbid you take a vacation or day off. If you work midnights you work Monday-Friday 5am-530am and while they say only some Saturdays, you will work at least three. Your life/family and well being mean

Pros

Global network of co-workers is a nice team building environment, this company is based in Sweden.

Cons

Adherence to any sort of HR rules was non existent. You name it was happening. If your boss thought your were good looking, it was a breeze. Try working for bosses like that. Impossible to openly discuss day to day business without things being addressed honestly, or it not being held against you. Sons working for their parents. Brothers reporting to their siblings. Glad to be gone.
