Terrible leadership and messaging in PMB and SET; they’re disconnected from the reality of daily work pressures. Some of the worst leadership messaging I have heard across 4 major Pharma companies in 25+ years - zero prospects in the UK for the foreseeable future. Little or no investment in people. The old school aggressive management style of ‘if you don’t like it leave’ doesn’t work; moral and motivation at a low - Talent is being let go due to failures by senior leadership to invest in people and past poorly managed over recruitment. AZ UK is about to fall off a cliff as soon as any local competitor opens recruitment. To focused on green-washing.

Great teamworking with peers, lots of inspirational people working hard to deliver the highest quality work.

Cons

Total lack or leadership in precision medicine. The head of department has surrounded herself with Sycophants and toadies who act dishonestly with impunity. There is a culture of bullying created by the senior executive team, and the weak department leaders dont have the courage to stand up against it. Recent annual survey rated precision medicine leadership at only 34%
