Pros

Nice office buildings where almost everyone provided own room. Good gym and cantine, library with fresh scientific magazines.

Cons

Interpersonal relations are quite bad, bullying managers, racial discrimination. Monthly performance reviews are connected to the bonus system, and maybe this explains why they are so harsh. At the same time systematic soldiering of your collegues, poor collaboration, bad planning, lack of support dont leave you any chance to move forward. Fear of loosing jobs and risk of mobbing, might have increased due to recent laid offs.

Pros

good health benefits fair salary good yearly bonus good relocation package work from home 1 to 2 days a week

Cons

No room for career advancement The promotion policy needs to be clear and equitably applied to all employees You cannot expect employees to stay when you freeze promotion cycles. This is not only demoralizing for the employees who were submitted for promotion, but it is also demoralizing for the other employees in the company. Too many initiatives upper level managment is out of touch and or negative at times hiring process is slow, burdensome and ineffective at best employee morale has quickly eroded in the last 6 months retention rates will continue to worsen

Pros

- Brilliant colleagues (who became good friends!). - Exciting science and use of cutting edge technologies. - Good salary and package benefits when compared to other biotech/pharma companies in the Cambridge UK area.

Cons

I worked for this company for almost 6 years. The company I joined was not the company I left, unfortunately: - The environment was becoming toxic, with poor management and lack of personal development opportunities (at least in the Department I was part of). - Despite having courses and trainings available to all employees, we were not given any time to complete them. - Workload could be massive sometimes. - HR return to the office rules, and implanting ways to track the employees… If they want everyone in the office every day, they could at least make sure that there is enough desk and parking space for everyone. Because that’s definitely not the case, and having people working on the bar or in the kitchen area due to lack of space is ridiculous.
