Pros

-People are very friendly, general environment is almost family like between people. -There are lots of employer benefits and team activities. -There are showers for people who cycle to work. -There is a restaurant and gym on site, with discounts for AZ employees. -There are lots of resources available for self-improvement*.

Cons

-* although self improvement resources are there, no body has time for self improvement. -The requirements for a new employee to get a position are lower than those for promoting a current employee to that same position. -Lack of communication and understanding between the work teams do. -The general culture is to give everything you have - most people have far too much on their plate and no time. A lot of people work overtime often and aren't at all acknowledged for it. And yet, everyone is pushed to continuously take on more work. I have never seen so many adults cry at work from stress. -Lab safety is a joke. People don't report injuries and near misses that don't require medical attention under the excuse that they do not have time to deal with the paperwork and inquiries that follow.

Pros

Nice colleagues and relaxed company culture. Lots of internal secondment opportunities if you have clinical experience. Offer relocation packages to Cambridge

Cons

Must go to the office 3 times a week and no flexibility on that even though you can apply to work flexibly which, is usually declined and then you can't request for flexible work again within 12 months. Will not receive bonuses or will be fired (US colleagues) if you do not comply with working 3 days in the office. Capacity issues with office spaces, parking, wifi etc. being heard across various offices. Poor pay rises No promotional prospects and no clear guidelines provided on how promotions work. Everyone seems overworked and unhappy with much lower satisfaction scores this year.

Pros

good people, interesting work, I had a good work/life balance, benefits OK

Cons

very disorganized and hard to navigate. if you're a middle-aged white or European guy, this is your place! Very paternalistic, male-dominated organization with dinosaurs at the top, so old school attitudes. No 360 reviews so mediocre (and less than) managers stay in place and climb the ladder. No exit interviews, so they don't really want to hear what's not working. "Speak up culture" is just politically correct noise. Not very advanced compared to other companies in terms of infrastructure, IT, etc. I would not recommend working here.
