Pros

Looks good on resume - Top Revenue in Colorado Experience working with partners across the globe. Company sponsors lots of teams around Denver, but employees don't get discounts for any of them.

Cons

The tagline "Five Years Out" refers to when the good things will happen. Communication with VPs and lower level employees must go up and down the chain of command. The health benefits can take up to 60 days to start, but they turn off on your last day at the company even though you paid premiums for the whole month. The annual merit increases were 3+ months late, execs worked to find ways to drastically reduce the number of employees getting minimal 3% merit increases, no matter their performance. Employees have no idea what the company actually does/produces, even though the Super Bowl commercial made it look like they use legos to fold paper airplanes. HR Leaders work below their level and don't trust their people hired for the jobs they are hired to do. The Executive Committee is not at all involved with their organization - they sits in a different building than 90% of the employees, referred to as the "Ivory Tower." Arrow doesn't value their employees, even though they keep talking about an “Employee Value Proposition” that is as nebulous as it sounds. There was an HR Reorganization that was done just to save money, and was communicated to employees that way, even though some of them were losing their jobs.

Pros

Great team of people- helpful and collaborative.

Cons

The micro electronic distribution business is very complicated and convoluted with archaic computer systems that are inefficient and confusing. The training program is extremely boring and not designed for adult learning styles. Strategy and focus changes from week to week.

Pros

A steady but less than industry average paycheck. And hey, if you meet your quotas regularly, they won't take your bonus back from you!

Cons

Training leaves much to be desired. Resellers will rely on you for expertise and you will rely on your co-workers' which is extremely frustrating for both parties. Luckily there are some good people who work here that are willing to help, but others in different areas of the business might be quick to blow you off or send you in another direction. Former co-workers who have left months ago have yet to be replaced leaving us understaffed and overworked. And then executives will try to spin this in a positive way by displaying how low our operating income is compared to revenue. Still wondering who they were trying to impress with that display of information, I'm sure it was certainly not the Arrow grunts in the room. Management is a bit of a rotating door, no fault of their own. A new position has opened up which has made some outside positions redundant.
