      low and disappearing margin business, promotions based on brown-nosing and not delivery, significant work with little to no staff to support

      Pros

      You will meet a lot of solid people here if you can network well and stay out of the politics. There are opportunities to learn new things if you are a productive worker who does not take on more responsibilities in your current role, but instead volunteer for projects in other departments.

      Cons

      Pay. If you start low, you will not get much higher. Sadly, they are losing a lot of good people because they are failing to keep pace with the cost of living in the Denver metro area. Benefits are expensive, especially if you have kids.

      Pros

      Ok place to start your career in IT Security/Networking before moving onto something better. The industry is a good one to be in currently. Fast progression is possible due to the current "brain drain" in the NetSec BU. You may go far if you are a brown noser / lickspittle.

      Cons

      Currently cost cutting / consolidating so trying to cover vendors / accounts with less resource. Do not pay the market rate - lots of good people lost to other parts of the channel and competitors over the last few years = short sighted! Weak management – lots of office politics, cronyism and a "school playground" mentality. Current Calibre of staff is so poor on the whole- Ex-Computerlinks quality is long gone even though ex Computerlinks management largely intact. The running joke when I was there was that the cleaner will be out visiting partners next week. Off-shoring more functions to eastern Europe will alienate even more customers.
