Pros

- OK working environment - Charismatic bouqet of technical employees - Many Pokemon and Star Wars fans - Lots of games at the office: playing cards, XBOX, PS4 - Not much actual work done - Great share-based compensation programme for all employees - Dress as you wish culture, generally unkempt 'DevOps' attire fits best

Cons

- Very high levels of politics - Some teams get replaced overnight - Plenty of talk and quite little action - Small decisions that may be considered trivial elsewhere take long times to achieve - Clueless and disengaged management relies on scare tactics - Presenteeism, as long as your act looks like a fit then there's not much expected - Outdated internal and customer technology and very little appetite for change - Zero products, everything is made by other companies and ARM gets a share, more like a parasitic business model.

Pros

1. open work culture : Everyone work in cubicles and accessible . You can just walk and have discussion. 2. Profitable business model 3. Potential of good projects 4. Work life balance 5. global exposure

Cons

1. Food : Food is big concern and no action has been taken by company .Feedback register in cafeteria it is filled about this. and these reviews are coming for long time . Here on glassdoor also in some reviews people have mentioned about food quality and that was also 4 months back This may not concern married people who bring their lunch-box from home. 2. Timing : Second thing is timing . Senior management don't follow the rule regarding timing but expects from you to spend 8-9 hours in company even there is no work. Many times you don't know that the senior person is WFH or leave. They don't even care to drop a mail. 3. Salary Salary is competitive . But since food and timing are also issues . This point take driving seat ARM is not highest payer in market . People put extra efforts and start to find opportunities with other market leaders where they are paid way above ARM and it is not that difficult for talented software engineers. 4. HR team : HR team just completes formalities. They take so much time to make final offer to a candidate even after clearance from managers that he/she finds other job offer in that time period. Feedbacks are just for that employee can feel that he is being heard . HR and facility teams highly lack motivation to do good work . Maybe ARM is not paying them good enough. With current state of things you can survive in market but never can be a leader.

Pros

Work with some very clever, interesting and nice people globally. Pockets of greatness. If you are in the right division or team, then there are opportunities to do interesting work, with plenty of freedom/leeway to define own role and organise how you get on and do the work. . Generally a relaxed working atmosphere. Good social events. It still feels like they are trying hard look after us. Not irredeemable, still lots of us trying to make things better and stop the slide.

Cons

It may just be me, but it does feels like we are in danger of losing what made the company great ... I think that what is happening, is that as the company is growing, the effective influence of those who make and sell the products is being watered down by the tertiary functions. I think another contributory factor might be because our CEO seems to have located himself away from where most of his engineering is happening. Regardless of why, the net effect is that it feels to me and other long term engineers, that we are not focusing on the product or the mission enough. Instead we seem to be spending increasing amounts of resources on corporate logo's, policies and programs, and not enough on things that might make a difference, e.g. engineers and engineering infrastructure.
