Pros

Time and a half pay for working Sundays and any hours over your contract, which means your contracted hours is what you'll work, which is good to know. Gives opportunities to young people just starting in retail. Very nice people and pay is always on time with no fuss.

Cons

Can be a bit boring sometimes

Pros

I can't even think of anything positive.

Cons

No prior training at all, thrown on the job at Christmas time when there are more than double the amount of customers, poor management, no health and safety policies, left to work alone in a vast stock room which should have two people minimum, no loyalty to employees. Work anywhere else but Argos.

Pros

making new friends at work, getting along with everyone. Company offers great training especially for the new employees.

Cons

To be honest the job is not that easy, running around to serve customers and get low paid. As well as being on the headset example - voice pick , which is the worse nightmare . Always delays....once been logged on and started off by putting delivery away not even one second a ticket comes through. How can delivery be on time when the staff is constantly on the headset? Then customers complain and ask us why are there so many delays? Who even invented that silly idea. Has it been even tested before being it released? Another problem is the rota, every week the rota is different and every time when i plan my day even tho the rota been done then the second time i check ive been put in for extra day, i mean that is ridicules . I had appointments several times but had to cancel it because apparently the rota changes on the last minute! Tills: Before till was very simple and smoothly going transaction but now there are too many things to ask . We been given the pressure from the company to make profit by hitting our targets but the truth is too many questions makes the customers annoyed.
