Pros

Everyone works as a team, always willing to help others without question. Hard working people. Good at their job. Always going that extra step to ensure the full satisfaction of staff and customers. In contrast to my previous jobs, I enjoy working at Argos the most, due to the fun friendly environment and happy atmosphere that brings the team closer.

Cons

The customers that demand things that aren't in our power to conduct. The inpatient customers that don't appreciate that were busy at that moment in time so there may be a slight delay.

Great Teamwork - made some great friends. The job is varied and no 2 days are the same.

Cons

The hours as a manager are ridiculous (and anything over 38.75 is "goodwill") I'm all for pulling your weight but Argos takes advantage of this and uses it as free labour. I moved around several stores and several different management positions. Some were good, others awful. The internal politics at management level are shocking and it's very much a case of your face fitting. I encountered a culture of fear that forced me to hand my notice in and take a substantial pay cut in order to escape the culture.
