Pros

Can't think of any, other than it's a job.

Cons

Rubbish pay for unsociable hours - work nights but receive the same pay as those who work during the day. Management haven't got a clue - claim to listen to feedback, but it's quite clear they don't. ALWAYS think their way is the best way. Try working in a warehouse for a night, instead of looking at statistics on a piece of a paper! No benefits - Unless you work at the counter. Warehouse staff are forgotten about, never praised for the work they do. Quality control - Give it a rest! It's a warehouse, not a storefront!

Hey, Sorry to hear you're not having a great time of it. If you're still with us, I'd suggest raising with your manager. All I can say is; as a member of the Fast Track team, you are valued across the organisation.

Pros

Decent pay (£5.70 an hour for 17 year olds) Short shifts Nice co-workers

Cons

Managers constantly pushing targets for argos cards and care Stressful - always being expected to do multiple jobs at once while managers stand around having a chat Rude customers Unapproachable managers Not much opportunity to work overtime I was on a temporary contract that was renewed each month and was once made to sign it whilst serving a customer without a chance to read it Poor training - I was only trained on tills, collection and jewellery and even this training was insufficient as I'd been trained by somebody who had only worked there for 2 months

Pros

- Nice fellow employees - Good hours - Satisfaction that you are making a contribution to society - Gives you the vital retail experience - Some aspects of it are straightforward and easy - Sociable

Cons

Managerial hypocrisy- My manager tells me off for doing things wrong or not meeting targets, yet she is the one sitting in her office watching videos on youtube or scrolling through her emails. She is incredibly self-centred Lack of appreciation- I sold breakdowncare, a card and two lots of product care in a week and felt I got next to no appreciation for it. Furthermore, when I started Argos I didn't actually get a uniform. I spent the first two months wearing Ralph Lauren polo shirts from home which made me prone to be patronised by customers as I looked unprofessional. I never actually got a uniform. In fact, I had to get one of my fellow work colleagues spare shirt which didn't fit him which I still use to this day.
