As it's a large organisation, there are plenty of opportunities to move around the business to gain valuable experience and Argos give a huge amount of support for this.

Cons

It's a risk adverse company so will always err on the side of caution - nobody will take ownership of new ideas until they are a success. This means that a lot of your time is spent trying to get other teams on board with your ideas rather than driving the strategy.

The people (some of them) are like a big family. Great if you're local to MK. Supportive company for work life balance. Moving to more flexible working.

Cons

Ineffectual managers. Poor salary increases for loyal employees with excellent results. Poor leadership. Most people are there as they live local. Not good for the future success of the business. Need to focus on keeping the passionate employees who want to be there .
