Pros

Excellent Management from Store Manager to Customer Services Manager. Daily staff briefings keep all staff, including Temps up to date with Performance, areas of work to focus on etc. Great team, who readily help new employees and share good practice. A fun place to work, with job satisfaction from delivering excellent Customer Service.

Cons

I didn't have any Cons at all. Loved working at Argos.

Pros

Work with a great group of people in store Helps develop your customer service and salesmanship skills They take on a a lot of christmas temps each years so its something good to half even if you only wanted a job for the holidays.

Cons

You do get quite a few people who aren't happy with how the business is run in terms of returns ad other services which can be frustrating I work in the busiest store in West London and we tend to not have enough staff most days.

Pros

I suppose it's a job And hey give jobs to kids (basically) /so it's an easy way to get you first job

Cons

Pay is a JOKE I worked 12 hours and got paid £17.24 Too many targets Threaten you with the fake chance of getting a permanent position (that seizes to exist) Please explain to me why we have 5 manager and 20 staff No I'm not going to sell £30 worth of product care a day and only get paid £17.24 a month Too many older people who think they have the upper hand in the job I think they only hired me because I'm black to boost minority numbers Deducted pay for being 1 minute late (because they wouldn't open the door) Long term employees are too set in their ways Till system is too complicated, nobody wants to by a toothbrush or 'pack of goodies' with a shaving set, everyone already has an Argos card and nobody wants product care on a £10 item Managers lock themselves in the staff room to avoid temps Managers are down right rude You'll be taught the basics so they can fire you and say you don't have the skills to be kept on They like lapdogs who sit at their beck and call Customers where rude and it didn't help when managers undermined you
