Pros

Exceptional people, projects and outcomes. Great offices, and a strong brand to have in career history.

Cons

Corporatisation of a partnership into an OpCo of Arcadis along with a truly shambolic central services, especially HR, are spoiling a fantastic environment and business. Arrogant - the "premium"/Built Asset Consultancy/"we're EC Harris" mentality is boring.

The people are nice, not the managers or executives.

Cons

Managers are imbeciles and have absolutely NO idea on how to manage and do not know what they are doing. Layoffs are rampant, and they are forcing people to right positive reviews because they don't want people to learn about how ridiculously unrealistic the expectations are of the employees that work there.

Pros

Good start for a junior as you might get exposure to some interesting job. Good work / life balance, not too much asked from employee, can do 9-5 if you want.

Cons

Loads of monkey jobs, emphasize on utilisation (i.e. need to demonstrate why spend 2 hours on a job) and keep on hiring new junior staff... No real vision as this is a big beast which acquire whatever it can... Obvously this depends on the team you are in but across the board it seems that many people feel the same. Many people (even very well placed in the hierarchy) have left following acquisitions as the vision turns into lower end of the consulting sprectrum type of jobs. People are treated like another fish in the ocean.
