1. experience to take somewhere else for longterm job. 2. It use to be a great company to work for, it may return??? 3. Good learning platforms. 4. the company takes safety to heart 5. Working here can give you a good network for future employment.

Cons

1. cant trust upper mangament for long term employment. 2. too much moving to china, or india for parts and software 3. Seems Amat is on a path to imitate Intel like treatment of their employees, Not a possitive thing for the individual. 4. Benifits are trending to be more expensive to employee while degrading in coverage.

Pros

The pay and the hours. Having the compressed work week is a definite draw for me. And having worked for the company a while I received a decent salary.

Cons

The political culture and the constant nickel and diming from upper management. Feels like they are always taking things away and never giving.

Pros

You'll have a wide exposure to many technical problems. With the right manager you can really dive into different areas. The company is relatively big so that there are opportunities in other business segments as well.

Cons

There can be a struggle for work-life balance. The bottom line is making a profit, no matter how well you do if you're not part of a great profit center then you are not a darling of management. I would also say moral has not been the best since I've joined the company (~5 years ago). Too many people are leaving and we are not drawing experienced people in to fill the losses.
