Pros

The environment is laid back. Offices are beautiful and lots of fun activity.

Cons

People hardly get things done because they take advantage of the laid back environment. If you try to get anything done on Friday you're out of luck. People take the days off or work from home and you won't hear from them even when the project is due that day. It's very ill-equipped. They don't do upgrade very often or any at all. The software is always outdated and hardware is ridiculous. You will get a jacked up mac to do production but if you're higher up then you get a fancy mac to open word doc and check emails. There are a lot of promises on the account team and then they can't deliver that's why they lost clients. It has very frequent layoffs in the last couple of years. Advancements are giving to the buddy of the uppers. If you want to move up to senior level you might have to mop the floor your director walks on.

Good at first then begins to suck

Pros

Pay is decent. Most places pay min wage so it's nice to be earning slightly more than that. 25% discount Good coworkers Nice little spiff incentives

Cons

Management, nothing is ever good enough, if sales are down then it MUST be because we aren't trying hard enough. It's never because we have 2 customers in the store who don't buy anything. The stupid loyalty cards. We've switched from Sales Associates to Loyalty Pushers. Our sales numbers are totally irrelevant if we didn't sign the customer up for loyalty. Not hitting 30% is a death sentence basically and we even get sent home if we don't sign up enough people. Most absurd thing I've ever seen. Store manager is a bully to the other managers. We've only been open for 2 months and already 2 managers have transferred out because of his constant tirades against them. One of the managers would leave his office in tears half the time, the other would get the blame for everything wrong dumped on her.
