Pros

Working with beer Company car and corporate card (for now)

Cons

Let me first off say that my family has been with AB for over 40 years. Unless you get accepted to the SMT or GMT program. Just use AB as a stepping stone for your next career because it is worthless trying to reach a director position without being in one of the programs. The pay is not great. If you want to try to get anything accomplished, it has to go through 5 channels. There is no bonus unless you are from Brazil. There is hardly anyone in senior management that started with the old AB. Everyone else is from Brazil or part of InBev.

Pros

Interesting products and environment, nice office in Prague.

Cons

Terrible management. Very suitable for egocentric, narcissistic and uneducated people. Line-managers are promoted to their level based on non-existent variables and are given too much power. Everyone is focused on their personal targets, so the actual work is forgotten. Some managers have no clue about what they are doing, are pretentious and treat everyone based on their own preferences. People who are friends with managers are treated better, visibly better. Everyone is fake, no diversity or inclusion when it comes to other things but being LGBT, no recognition to other religious/ethnic minorities and no respect towards them. Very sorry that such a great company is ruled by stupid people.

Pros

1. Can safely say that it provides amazing opportunities for high performers 2. Culture is fun & super chilled 3. you will realize the real importance of networking once here 4. Extraordinary performance means Extraordinary rewards too, company brilliantly recognizes and rewards high performers.

Cons

1. This company is not meant for you if you are an average or poor performer. Its a space only for high & extraordinary performers. But that's ok, not all companies believe in growing and developing people. This one hires you only if you are already a pro of what you do and continue to do so. Career growth here is facilitated through projects/frequent internal movements but those will not be served in your plate. You have to constantly and consistently hunt for opportunities. 2. At times management is biased towards premium B-school hires. (Even if management doesn't discriminate, you will find groupism among employees from premium B-school hires and other will feel alienated) 3. Horrible work life balance. Its true that all companies have messed up one..this one is next level. But if you can survive that, you grow here for sure. Extraordinary performers are rewarded extraordinarily too. 4. Company doesn't have an ERP. employees practically do everything on excel. So good luck if you are wanting to enter into Finance. 5. You survive here only if you perform, else forget job security.
