Pros

Exposure to variety of different processes: concentrators, smelters, refineries. Some fantastic senior people. Great access to some of the worlds best processing technologies and minds.

Cons

Large company. Very difficult to make changes or improvements. People have a very risk averse attitude. Pockets of mediocrity and poor work ethic.

The site is breath taking and the people are amazing. (Mine is Shutdown) Don't be fooled they are closing the doors.

7 and 7 work shift and ok pay.

Cons

Everytime you need a part or a repair it has to be okayed back in australlia. You can be asked for input on something from managemnt you give an honest answer and get replies like "I'll believe it when I see it" and when it happens they say well no one told me that and then go on to blame a local to save there individual ego.

Constant putting out fires. Anglo doesn't seem to care about their employees or families. Thankless.
