senior management reacted poorly to market change, for approx 2 years the view of senior management was "you are lucky to have a job". Expectations of staff increased significantly due to reductions in work force. Personnel were expected to cover several roles with now allowance to reduction in expected standards. little or no praise for good work completed by employees.
