Pros

Good place to come if you're green, fresh from school.

Cons

Work life balance is offered in lip service only. People fight for bragging rights by getting to the office earlier than anyone.....4am etc. Or, staying late, even sleeping in their office/cube. Most of senior management from AA days are out of touch; they've never worked anywhere else and have a skewed perspective on workplace etiquette and culture. They encourage employees to report on other employees inappropriately and are rewarded. Every few years there seems to be uncertainty on their future. CEO is known as ego-maniacal and insecure with anger management issues; he also fuels gossip. Bullying atmosphere. Pay is low.

This place is a joke

Pros

Many of the reviews state complimentary drinks and snacks as a pro. Keep in mind this practice was discontinued before I left, so drinks and snacks are no longer provided.

Cons

This place is an absolute joke and a sham of a real business. There is blatant favoritism and nepotism. Promotions and compensation are not based on performance, at least not performance in the office. Maybe performance in the bedroom. Diligent hardworking employees are not appreciated. Rules are made and enforced arbitrarily and inconsistently. The culture here is one based off of pettiness and there has been no effort to change this. There is a huge focus on trivial matters (drinks and snacks) while turning a blind eye to issues that matter (for example lack of training).

Pros

-Learned a lot -Some good managers -Free access to Gleim

Cons

I don't even know where to begin. Everyone at the office I was at could have cared less I was there. I do not feel like I was appreciated. The hours were ABSURD and no salary could pay me for it. I did not get much of a diverse experience as I solely worked on 1040s. Work for a smaller or medium-sized firm if you have the chance to.
