Pros

Great mission, some roles allow for good work/life balance (mine included). Co-workers are great at the local and regional levels.

Cons

Poor communication from management. Goals are often set unrealistically or arbitrarily and are usually very inflexible. General public often unaware of the nature of our mission and so have unrealistic expectations.

Regions made too large for upper level management to cover all area (i.e. health & safety training, disaster response and training, fundraising without engaging community during non disaster times.

Too many changes, lack of support from management. A lot of restructuring means that there is high turnover & uncertainty in our jobs.
