Pros

Meeting great good will people that help others achieve goals through their donation of blood. Working with great people who eventually become family away from family.

Cons

There is a great amount of uncertainty in the day by day operations. Job might be here today and gone tomorrow. Was told in orientationthat ARC (American Red Cross) stood for Always Ready for Change.

Pros

Brand, idealism, volunteers. There are some really great people who stay because they believe in the mission.

Cons

Bureaucracy, turnover, top-down. The top of ARC is very scared of change, and most people are overworked/underpaid (if you consider # of hours).
