Pros

Paid time off for NFP's is always better than in the private sector. Local chapters seem to be flexible with time off, mother's hours etc...

Cons

Employee morale is very low, misuse of funds is causing the ARC to go under. The direction the ARC is heading on the local levels is very sad. A once great, helpful NFP that stood above the others, is worse now than most. Turnover is at insane levels.

Pros

Be a part of an organization that works to save lives via blood donations, disaster relief, and partakes in global causes. The benefits package here is laughable at best but when you compare it to other businesses locally it's one of the best for this area.

Cons

Human Resources is a bunch of IDIOTS.They do not take needs into consideration and if you exhibit slight signs of having a disability, it WILL be used against you. Only the strong will surviive working here for so long.

Mission- you cannot beat it. You work at a place that is out to help everyone in the United States- regardless of color, ethnicity, pay grade or religion. We do our work free of charge and rely on the donations of the American public to accomplish our mission. This is why we have one of the best missions in the country and it is a great place to work.

Cons

The culture is sometimes difficult to work in.
