Pros

You get what you put into it. Like any company they have “good” leadership and “bad” leadership. Seems to be the luck of the draw here. You can work your self to death and get nowhere if your direct leader is overwhelmed with their position. There is no one to go to for development or advancement past your manager. No one above them give any thought to the people below their management team. So it’s like the end of the line once you get to that spot. No growth availability and roadblocks at every turn.

Cons

No support for advancement. Benefits are lacking-Insurance is bad (ironic for an insurance company) Growth potential is not good. Low salary and yearly “raises” don’t even cover cost of living increases.

Not good

Pros

Free licensing. 2 months of paid training for new agents. Benefits are ok, but could be better.

Cons

Pay is way below industry standard. Required to work 50+ hours a week, but only get paid for 37.5 No bonus for 2023 or 2024. Blaming catastrophic losses. Many HR issues here. Computer systems are outdated (focus) Agents required to manually process policies and send all documents manually. Behind the curve. Most good Allstate employees get licensed and leave for better pay and better work-life balance. Culture that does not reward performance.

Pros

Great to gain experience if new in the field. The benefits are good and I met good friends there

Cons

But overall the company is one of the worst I’ve worked for the excessive micromanagement the excessive metrics the management itself. They preach about mental health but treated us like robots. Even when you did your best if it didn’t meet the metrics it wasn’t good enough. I had absolutely no work life balance none of my team did we came in early mornings and left late nights. But we weren’t approved for cat pay because we didn’t have 2 extra claims everyday when we were already assigned 6 plus returning any calls texts voicemails or emails the same day if you received them by 4pm CST you also have to remain in phone and while trying to complete your existing pending claims address new claims and writing estimates.
