Pros

Very good benefits and I work with great people. The company is very supportive of the employees, at least in my state. I love it. Allstate does provide opportunity for advancement and they support employees education through reimbursement programs. They are a giving company and provide many opportunities for community outreach and volunteering.

Cons

Sometimes the people I have to deal with make my job difficult, sometimes they work for the company, but most times they are from a different company. Since Allstate is such a big company, it is sometimes difficult for customers to get to the right area, especially since there are areas that handle completely different parts of Allstate's business and really don't know much about the other areas.

Pros

Flexibility of work/life balance. New policy geared towards telecommuting. Recognition given for successfully completing projects and many opportunities available for career development and advancement.

Cons

Recent reorganization has caused some areas to lose key subject matter experts. A lot of work is now being done over in Ireland.
