Pros

The benefits are great. I came in as an entry level adjuster and have more than three weeks vacation my first year. My manager does not try to micro-manage us, but gives support when we need it.

Cons

When a customer complains about a rental issue that you have no control over you are also still held accountable, so sometimes that stinks

Pros

-Good work life balance -PTO days are generous -Young corporate atmosphere -Consistant schedule

Cons

-Performance is based on numerous things, many of which you cannot control; even if you are deemed an above average employee on your performance raises do not even cover the cost of living. -CRI, or customer reviews, consist of asking the customer how satisfied they are with portions of the claim which are completely out of the claim owner, or adjusters control. These CRI's also dictate your performance review -Senior management appears to have no real experience in handling claims, or in making decisions pertaining to the handling of claims. Senior management tends to roll over in certain situations instead of standing by our policy holders. -Proper training is not given for specific states, particulary the New England states, and especially in the state of MA. Compliance is an issue. -Training for new employees consists of online training where they are kept a room for a week as home office confrences employees in nationwide, and goes over claim handling for all states. This training is completely irrelavant to the job, and the trainers appear to never have handled an actual claim. State specifics are not addressed in training. -Morale is very low in the office, and senior management appears to fire and hire in groups, pushing out the higher paid, tenured employees, and bringing in younger employees and paying them much less. Turn over is at an all time high. -Pay bands are not specific, and there is no clear defination of how to get to the next level. Tenure is rewarded much more than performance.

Pros

There are opportunities for promotion. Many managers do recognize team members for good work.

Cons

Allstate leadership's message does not match their actions. Expense management and cost reductions seem to only apply to the folks below Senior VP.
