Pros

Good work life balance and work from home program. Good place for a someone trying to kick off their career. Can coast as an engineer on some teams if that is what you are looking for.

Cons

Uncompetitive salary, no wonder they are losing many engineers to different tech companies. Lost a lot of the culture over the years. Lack of growth opportunities. Not challenging enough. No bonus.

Pros

Never missed a paycheck. Used to be a great job, company and employees were recognized as the backbone of success. No more.

Cons

Terrible work environment. Processes being added and changed constantly but never an adjustment to workload. Fit this in. Add that. It will not takes a minute. Too many experts adding things and it is a rarity that anything is ever removed. Employee satisfaction is paid lip services ce and turnover can’t keep up with hiring. Time to find another company that has a balance between property profitability and taking care of their employees. Allstate is in for a rude awakening with the current environment and next generation. Long term employees are looking to leave and new hires don’t put up with the lip service.

Pros

People I work with are great. Company has a good culture. Company is supportive of individuals and their aspirations.

Cons

Leaders pick dates based on their preferences, not reality. Likewise, they'll set scope, don't ask the technology teams whether or not that's even achievable, and simply expect it. So you have unrealistic scope and unrealistic dates, which in turn creates tremendous, unfair pressure, which adversely affects morale, and consequently talented people walk out the door. The company claims it wants to be lean and agile, but it's mostly talk. Leaders don't have a clue what it actually means.
