Pros

Great PTO, started with 23 PTO days Lots of opportunity to advance internally Health insurance, matched 401k, tuition reimbursement

Cons

Lots of layoffs every year, jobs have been outsourced to India "Teams" become "cliques" There is an unspoken hierarchy when it comes to processors vs. adjusters. Processors are treated as though they're insufficient and provide little value to the company. The company has switched to production based metrics instead of customer centric. You're asked to "do as many tasks as possible" without a clear and concise goal. Although you're not given a definitive goal, you're penalized if it's considered to low by management. Lunch breaks were cut from an hour to 30 minutes. You're monitored every time you leave your desk and timed on how long it takes you to complete a task. It began to feel like a sweat shop.

Pros

Decent training and support to get licensed

Cons

Literally everything else. Workload was absurd. I frequently worked 16-20 hour days when deployed for a meager $135 in CAT pay which could arbitrarily be denied. Not much support once they move you to a full claim intake. Was told by my direct manager to “suck it up, butter cup” when I pointed out a major inconsistency in how claims were being assigned. Also enjoyed being screamed at during settlement conversations in homes, cussed at by contractors & insureds and being made to change estimates to suit my managers decisions instead of my own as a licensed adjuster. Pay is also severely under market for licensed adjusters with any amount of experience
