Pros

It's a job, depending on where you work you can get a secret clearance (which opens doors at other better paying companies)

Cons

Management doesn't care about you, they hire externally but promise you other job opportunities if you take a security officer position, crappy pay (other local security companies or organizations are paying anywhere from 5-10 more for the same responsibilities, awful benefit/non-existent, account manager acts shady (says one thing to make you feel good, but does another and screws everyone over), no communication
