Toxic Work Environment

Pros

They will pay you because they are experienced in getting in trouble with the state labor board.

Cons

This office/department (anti-piracy) is notorious for having surveillance of their employees under the guise of "security"...what they are really doing is allowing management to spy on their "team" and use it against them when providing footage to HR. If you want to feel incredibly uncomfortable in a work environment that involves getting stabbed in the back, well, this is the place for you. The clients are unaware of any of the behavior of supervisors. If they had any idea, they would stop doing business immediately. False accusations and setting up for failure are the norm. Stress is used as a weapon to destroy employees physical and mental wellbeing. One former employee ended up being diagnosed with cancer.

It's a job

Pros

It’s a pay check on Friday

Cons

I have been there for 6 months and the turn over rate is insane. They have lied to people to get them to take the job. Once they start and find out about the lie, they quit. When I took the job, they were so shorthanded, I was rushed through training. A couple of times I was asked to do something and I said nobody showed me how to do it. Even after retraining they still didn’t go over everything. Scheduling is insane. A couple of beauties were. I was told to come in at 4am and work till 7am. Another time I had to work a double and got off at 11pm and had to be back at 7am the next day. When you go in at first to sign all these documents. One they slip in is if your replacement doesn’t show up then you will have to work at least 4 more hours.
