Pros

You’ll learn quickly, because you’re often expected to take on cross-functional roles with little support or training. You’re trusted to handle complex client relationships with minimal oversight, great for people who want to grow fast or build a portfolio of experience.

Cons

Workload Creep Without Support: Instead of hiring or improving tools, leadership will pile on extra roles and responsibilities, often without warning or added compensation under the guise of tracking and efficiency. Poor Software & Communication Tools: Critical tasks are expected to be managed through clunky systems or manual high maintenance workarounds, creating burnout and inefficiency.

Pros

Generally always able to get hired for something as long as you didn’t burn a bridge here before.

Cons

Extremely poor communication for top down, the Artificial Intelligence LISA is a nightmare for employees and managers to maneuver through. Branch management is completely disconnected unless you have ANY Non-billable Overtime and then they are all over you. I had a contracted pay rate increase slated for 7/1/24 and neither the client manager nor the branch manager will tell me why I still haven’t received it 3+ months later but they are billing the client as if they are paying me the new rate! That demonstrates a complete lack of integrity on behalf of the entire organization! I work 10-14 hour days without ANY recognition from AUS but receive a ton of accolades from my client as does my team. I love my job for my client but am hoping they put their contract out to bid soon or reconsider bringing us “in house”!

Pros

Account management pay can be excellent but is dependent on the contract. As the third largest employer in the US, you can find an AUS job in any major city in the country.

Cons

Zero branch support for account managers, and you will be left to cover shifts exclusively on your own. Whoever the branch office will insist you support them in special requests, even if it means leaving your shifts open. If you work directly as an operations or client manager, branch leadership will repeatedly promise raises without providing any documentation, and when the time comes for your increase, the increase will not be available in "the current branch budget" but just hold out for next year. I was told this three years in a row.
