If you are part of an acquired company, try to get out as fast as possible. Alight is an outgrowth of AON Hewitt and is filled to the brim with long-time AON people. It's the epitome of a good old boys/girls club. They want to be a "tech" company, but with outsourcing all of their tech development to Wipro (India), they have no use for internal tech talent stateside. They have zero technical ladder/job titles and their pay for tech talent is abysmal and not at all competitive. Most companies that are acquired by them begin hemorrhaging people very quickly as they quickly realize there is no future for them in this good old boys/girls club. One of the top three worst companies (out of 10) that I have worked for in my entire career.

Every year, the company ships more and more jobs offshore to their consulting partner Wipro. The "leaders" like to say buzz phrases like "work life balance" and "people matter" but the only thing that matters to them is their bottom line (which is still hurting because the contractors are not as talented as the people they have replaced).
