On the right track, but . . .

Pros

Current senior management (Mike, David, Ian) seem really capable, and are turning the company in the right direction. It's fun to work for them, and you can appreciate their vision.

Cons

Alcon's growth is still hampered by years of poor management and over-zealous focus on bottom line to the detriment of long-term growth. Separation from Novartis will help (everyone is hoping for a spin-off), but it will take years to truly right the ship.

Pros

even though I am associated with company for 5 years but its tough to tell what are the pros in today's scenario. To add I can only say just the name is good

Cons

There are two groups one who drink alcohol and one who don't , one who drink will get promotions, salary hike , and become mentor ,one who don't will get nothing There are certain examples , A person become mentor , key account executive and mentor in just one month because he cracks jokes on employees and drink with everyone that's why he is the apple of everyone eyes else he has done nothing extraordinarily.

Great benefits and values. Great products. Strong culture customer oriented.

Cons

Some tecnologies need upgrade. R&D slow process and lack of resources. Novarties take over make the company worst trying to change everything without understanding the business model.
