      Laid back atmosphere, very nice employees always willing to help you learn, good flexibility

      can be "clicky" at times, networking is a must for vertical movement

      Pros

      Pay is adequate and benefits are good. In this particular project engineering role, working hours and vacation days are fairly flexible. The large company offers stability and job security.

      Cons

      Upper management seems out of touch and often introduces significant policy changes without fully thinking them through. This means that we are frequently burdened with new requirements that have no practical implementation plan. Company-issued cell phones and laptops are very outdated and most software is poorly designed, which means even simple tasks can be time-consuming. This is nominally an engineering position, but the vast majority of the work is administrative and clerical in nature.
