Pros

Working at Acquity Group has really been a rewarding experience. If you're outgoing and able to take ownership for your performance, then Acquity Group is an ideal place to work. Competitive salaries and benefits.

Cons

If you're looking for the traditional company setup and work environment, go elsewhere. AG is highly competitive and maintains an Agile environment, so things change quickly and often and the traditional career advancement is self driven, not manager driven. So if you're uncomfortable with working in a fact changing or fast paced environment, then AG is not for you.

Pros

Their overall benefits are pretty good. The health insurance options work for both single employees and employees with families. Location is great. They are located right across the street from a Union Station entrance, and their building is the same as the Ogilvie Station. Many food options for lunch/dinner in the area. The employees are, for the most part, laid back and fun to be around. It is a good work environment. They are involved in a handful of charity events, and promote and support the health and well being of their employees.

Cons

Salary for entry level associates is less than expected. For a period of time when the economy tanked, after 2 rounds of layoffs they cut salaries by 10% and stopped all bonus and salary promotion programs. These were eventually reinstated. The job can be very stressful. Always more than 40 hours worked per week. Once you get into the groove of things, not much changes in regards to daily tasks. They indicate they work mainly with Java, which is somewhat true, but it is not a full Java development shop. Most Java work is already completed, and you really work most with HTML and Servlets, mostly web development. Many associates are put on a project and then pulled away to go to another. There is never a consistent team involved in a project. They often under staff their projects as well. There is no employer matching for any benefit, and no profit sharing.
