Pros

Twice a month salary Trainings are provided

Cons

All of my tms are responsive and kind, thankfully. But the company only cares for itself. They are giving raises for 1-5 php only. They are offering now group classes but the pay is equivalent to one studemt only Commonly , 25minutes is 45 php for one student so even the teacher have 4 students in one class the pay will be the same 45php. Penalty are thrice of the class.

Pros

The only thing I like about working in Acadsoc is being able to teach very talented, smart, and hardworking students.

Cons

I used to work in Acadsoc 10, sometimes 11 hours a day, six days a week, sometimes with no day off. Now, after years of working, I have resigned from this company. The reason, above-average pay compared to office-based jobs in the Philippines. Also, I find it fulfilling to teach Chinese learners across the world. However, Acadsoc's treatment of its foreign, especially Filipino Employees, is HORRIFIC. Acadsoc doesn't value its teachers. Acadsoc is a money-making machine that only works because of its mistreatment of its tutors. Because to be honest, they don't care. And I am not exagerrating it. I hope I am. But I'm not. For the past years, Acadsoc's class table (That's the website's name where we can see our classes) is not working properly. It takes time to load the website, and surprisingly the issue usually occurs before payday. And bad websites could lead to class disturbances that could affect our chance of getting PAB. Many teachers theorized that it was Acadsoc's fault so that they could avoid giving us our PAB. PAB or perfect attendance bonus is given to teachers with no absences, tardiness, or teachers who haven't received bad ratings from students. Another issue is the culture. I am not sure if this is because of the cultural differences between Chinese and Filipinos with other nationalities or if it is only the culture in the company. But Acadsoc's Admin and TM (Tutor Managers) fails to communicate with their employees on time, and there are many times that they don't respond to our concerns at all. Some tutors have reportedly received blackmail messages stating that if they don't open their schedules when they (TMs) want, they will not be able to plot their schedule at all or, worst, receive a termination letter. Salary Delays and Reduction Salary delays in Acadsoc are very common. You can ask any teachers who have worked in the company, and they will surely express their disappointment towards the company when sending their salary. Some teachers have reported that they have experienced 15 to 1-month delays in receiving their salaries in the past few months. Upon writing this review, many teachers haven't received their salaries. Additionally, although Acadsoc's salary is higher than the salary of many office-based jobs, Acadsoc's hourly rate is significantly lower than the market standard. Extreme penalties. My god. If you work with Acadsoc, pray that you will never miss your class under ANY circumstances, or else you will receive an unjust salary deduction that will surely affect your service fee. Acadsoc wants to secure their bag, and basic Human understanding is their least concern. More work. Less pay. This is probably the most disturbing practice in this company. Upon the new policy made by the Chinese government about the Online Tutoring company, Acadsoc wants teachers to conduct group classes rather than the typical 1 on 1 class. This means that Acadsoc teachers will have more students in 1 class but only receive the same amount of fee that they have received from a one on 1 class. Plus, they encourage their tutors to join unpaid training hours that take a lot of energy and time.
