Pros
Before the education crackdown in China, Acadsoc was an almost decent company that can generate a regular stream of regular students and tutors to cater to these customers.
Cons
Tutors are immensely underpaid and it doesn't help that their ever-changing policies do more confusion rather than improve work conditions of tutors are almost there to set tutors to be accountable for something that they do not have control over. Some penalties are too much, and some even are uncontrollable, but tutors are still expected to deliver. After the crackdown of the Chinese government, the company wasn't transparent of the whole situation but rather placated the worries of tutors which turned out to be false and it caused panic and doubt which was reasonable. Now, they masked offers to current tutors on the platform of teaching multiple students in one session (when it should've been only one-on-one) wherein they could earn more, but in actuality, it is still with the same rate but you have to put more effort - an effort that should be properly compensated.
