Pros

I worked at Acadsoc part time for just 4 months last year. Actually it is more likely a temp job before my graduate from university. Though there are problems existing and some drawback in its management. It is quite a perfect match for students like me cause I cannot afford any BPO or call center job late at night with heavy traffic jam... I was able to cover part of my living cost and spend more time in library compared with other part time jobs.

Cons

Sometimes there will be a delay of payment but it is OK if within 24 hours.

Pros

It has its good points but I have been reading reviews in Glassdoors with false information. Please stick with the facts with what makes your company good. Don't give people false information.

These are just base from my own experience: 1. DS contact their tutors in case they are inactive and even ask help from HRs * I did not sign-up for any schedule for two weeks. They deactivated my account. I told them the reason that I was not able during those times. I mean its freelance so that means we don't work we don't get paid. Explicitly stated in the contract that you choose your schedule when and how often right. 2. Top management can easily be contacted in case there are concerns and addresses them immediately. Your only choice is through Skype no other alternative. 3. Salary is released twice every 15th of the month and no minimum amount * It used to be weekly. 4. In times where calamity strikes such as typhoons and earthquakes, tutors safety was their top most priority in fact sudden class cancellations ON THOSE … * I beg to differ, I got penalized over and over for power interruptions, internet problems and the like. I even got penalized because I requested my classes to be canceled because of fever and flu. Their only question was, "Are you sure you can't finish your lessons today, teacher?"
