      The Best Online ESL Company To Work With

      Pros

      I am not a teacher, well, not in the technical sense — I do not have a teaching certification but Acadsoc accepted me. I’ve never thought of myself as a teacher, but ESL teaching has helped me see otherwise.

      Cons

      If you are looking to make this your full-time gig, it will be challenging and exhausting, but there are plenty of teachers pulling it off for themselves. If you know what you are getting yourself into, and have the motivation to be an independent contractor, then this may be the gig for you!

      I have been with Acadsoc 4 months now and i have had a total of 3 classes and two of them where staff members pretending to be children. Seriously unprofessional and waste of time. With the result of no salary made at all!

      Very kind and responsive TM.

      Cons

      Only 10$ per hour and there is almost no chance to make that afterwards higher if you are a good tutor. They are terribly irresponsible. They gave me a wrong contract where stands that they are going to pay me unbooked classes which didn't happen. Very baaaaad booking and you have to sit on standby every single hour you have agreed on or you will be penalised. No bonuses as I can see.
