Pros

The pay as well as benefits are what lured and held me as an employee. The idea of still having a pension in todays market place is nice.

Cons

As much as they try to promote a family enviornment in all fairness u are a machine that is expected to basically sell to all customers regardless of their circumstances.

Pros

Market Leader in Business Services

Cons

Very transactional. No long term thinking or approach. Management has unrealistic expectations and is brutal when they're not met. AT&T doesn't earn most of its business, it gets it by default

Pros

The best reasons to work at AT&T include compensation and benefits. There is opportunity for continued education through AT&T University. There is a lot of company information disseminated through company communications.

Cons

There are no formal steps for mentoring or career guidance. Any development is left almost entirely to the individual with poor direction or support given when you ask for it. Opportunities for upward mobility go to the few and under-represented groups do not seem to fare as well. The company is so big, that the left hand often does not know what the right hand is doing.
