I was doing some research on Glassdoor for a client and came across the AMS reviews. I wonder where some of the negative ones come from as my experience has been such a great one? I joined about 4 years ago. I wasn't particularly keen on joining them before I interviewed being honest, but I met a range of brilliantly engaging people in my process that had me hooked! I really enjoy it here. I have progressed my career here and done a variety of roles - there is never a dull moment. As a working mother, it was really important I could have flexible working supported which has absolutely been the case. I thought our industry was all much of a muchness but think I have found my home!

Workload can be high at times.

Strong leadership; Commerciality within your; Great Culture; Genuine Career-Progression; Opportunity to continuously learn; Strong personal development opportunities; Good infrastructure and support network; Great transparency on the financial performance of the organisation; Accessible leadership; An organisation that is truly at the front of the RPO market and leading the way in best practice, world class recruitment solutions.

Cons

You need to be a self-starter to succeed (as in any organisation right?); Sometimes the RPO model & solution for a client becomes outdated as the wider market evolves - can cause pain until corrected; Can be behind the curve on pay and salaries - bonus is always ambiguous; Centralised communications need to be improved - don't know what's going on else where in the company until you ask or find out yourself; the nature of the organisation means it is very disparate - few opportunities to really meet and connect with people across the broader account.
