Pros

Flexible working Some great people managers

Cons

I have a lot of respect for the 'old' leadership of the organisation, but I don't think I've seen a CDTO cause as much anxiety, stress and division in such a short period of time. I appreciate that a new CDTO will initiate change, but I've seen valuable, experienced colleagues be made redundant for no real reason other than simply challenging decisions. The constant push to have AI do everything is immature and senseless, and will have a catastrophic impact on AMS as a company. Technology has become a toxic environment to work in and I've never seen so many demoralised colleagues in any department, or in any company, I've worked for. All because of one person who has no idea how to treat or manage people humanely.

Good Company, Poor Development

Pros

Great company to work for, the team were fantastic and they were more than happy for me to take on duties of a higher position

Cons

They could never actually promote me on paper and pay. Jobs always went to those who were at risk, even if they didnt have the experience. It was a rule that if they meet a much lower expectation, then they get the job, and at a time where they were losing contracts all the time, it became impossible to step up

Eroding the core

Pros

Strong, committed teams - the real backbone of the organization. Many individuals demonstrate high ownership, resilience, and a genuine client-first mindset. • Collaborative culture at the operational level - people support each other and find ways to deliver despite structural challenges. • Solid foundation built over years by experienced talent who understand both clients and delivery deeply.

Cons

• Talent strategy feels short-term and cost-driven rather than value-driven. There is a visible pattern of moving roles to lower-cost locations without fully accounting for knowledge loss and impact on delivery quality. • Long-tenured employees and high-potential talent are not consistently protected or developed - which sends a strong (and damaging) signal to the rest of the organization. • Leadership decisions can feel disconnected from day-to-day realities, particularly at delivery level. This creates frustration and lowers trust. • Increasing perception of “volume over value” - risking a shift towards a transactional recruitment model rather than a strategic one. • Morale impact - when experienced, high-performing people exit, the remaining teams feel instability and reduced confidence in the future.
