Pros

Management on the contract were lovely, no one else was. Remote set up, so didn’t have to face the people in my team in person.

Cons

2 man team. Expected to pick up the work when 2nd person went off on AL, not allowed to take AL without other team member “approving” Micromanaging from that one person was horrific. Wasn’t enough work for 2 people and they constantly took it all, so you’d be sitting there bored. No training given to do other work, was expected to know and when that wasn’t good enough, they gave no support. Was very isolating, my mental health has improved since leaving.

Many thanks for taking the time to leave your feedback. I would like to hear more from you directly about your experience as this is the exact opposite of the culture and working environment we work hard to maintain. Please do reach out directly stephanie.gillingham@weareams.com

Pros

The pay was really good Most recruiter positions are remote The team was a great team Lots of training Opportunity to learn and grow

Cons

This is an RPO (Recruitment Process Outsourcing) becuase of this kind of business model it means that instead of companies expanding and contracting their own recruitment workforce they just give excess work to AMS. It does not matter how good you are at your job; since you are working in the team that handles excess recruitment when the work is light then that means AMS people are the first on the chopping block. You can't control whether or not the client you serve hires in house recruiters so that means if they decide to hire internally then there is less work to go around.

Pros

Good people, at a colleague level

Cons

Far too management heavy. There's too many 'Global Head of...' type roles. Pay is terrible.
