The People are Important

Pros

This company invests a lot into it's people. There are a lot of opportunities to think outside the box and management makes themselves available for suggestions. The benefits program is really great too.

Cons

The work is dependent on client demands, and this can sometimes impact work-life balance.

Pros

Excellent clients in banking, technology and pharmaceutical sectors. Good place to build up the skills and experience to work as an internal strategic partner. Supportive line managers (middle managers)

Cons

Top management interested in only short-term returns and the strategy is always to maximize profits. This results in no strategic gains. As it is a consultancy business, client is always right even when wrong and there is NEVER the scope to highlight that. Internal HR is offshore and provides just a lip service to the management messages. Do not expect a structured growth path. It's more about being at the right place and knowing the right people (if the client is happy, so is the management). Everything is based only on cost cutting. Finally very admin heavy for onsite staff as cost cutting reflects in additional work given to the onsite recruiters.
