Pros
It does give you the experience of working for a global company, you can get the opportunity to deal with the operation in different countries. They also try to support remote employees and make them feel as part of the organization.
Cons
On some accounts they have hired people just to fill the positions, some employees are not as qualified as it is required and then instead of replacing them they make more qualified and effective employees do all the work. Also, the management in Latam is not the best, some of the "leaders" lack experience, have no leadership skills and overall the company fails in taking actions and it is hard to really supervise local managers. Growing inside the company is hard if you are not in the US.
