I joined AMS two years go looking a kick start to my career, I wanted to work somewhere that I could develop and progress in my career.
Two years on I have had to make a difficult decision to leave my role in AMS.
The account is extremely overworked and massively undervalued. Management have neglected the fact that they have over judged their contract with the client and the impact that it is causing to their staff. The staff morale is incredibly low and it caused a lot of tension within the team, this has lead to a lot of MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES (something that AMS thrive on is health and well-being). This has lead to a huge amount of sickness throughout the account. They have lost a lot of people who had massive potential to progress and develop in their careers. Staff are quickly replaced without any thought into who they are hiring and I believe that a lot of them including myself have been mis-sold jobs.
The team have attended multiple meetings to voice their concerns and to put forward ideas to help improve the working environment and try to meet the client expectations but again this is something that tends to get IGNORED each and every time.
There is no structure to the account, management are too focused on the client delivery and don’t care about their own staff. They are quick to jump at little mistakes but never make any appraisals.
Unfortunately this vicious cycle doesn’t look like it will be changing or improving anytime soon.
