Pros

Als is an internationally renowned company. Very safety focused. Good management, most staff were friendly and easy going, well established practices, training was great, head office presence, in house counselling availabke, staff were diverse.

Cons

Lack of development opportunities, almost every year redundancies were handed out, low pay. Promises sometimes not kept, ie moving into a different building didn't happen, sometimes cut throat.

Pros

There is a good sense of community and frequent opportunities for advancement. They provide great benefits and pretty decent training programs.

Cons

They have a particular management style, and if you don't fit in with their management style, then you will not be able to advance into the management structure. It's seasonal, so many staff are laid off during the slower winter months.
